Seniors from Memorial Early College High School in the Comal Independent School District walked their first graduation stage on Friday, May 10, receiving their associate degrees from St. Philip’s College in San Antonio.
In fact, the 75 seniors from MECHS who received their degrees contributed 50 percent of the Magna Cum Laude graduates and 57 percent of the Summa Cum Laude graduates earning their associate degrees this year from the college.
These student now have between 65 and 68 hours of college credit on their resumes, placing them two years ahead of their peers. This degree provides a financial benefit too, saving them anywhere from $30,000 to $40,000.
Congratulations, graduates!
