Comal ISD was well-represented at state meets this year in wrestling and swim. In fact, the gold and bronze medalists in state 6A wrestling are Smithson Valley High School athletes.

Students are not just learning reading, writing and arithmetic these days in school. They are also exploring exciting career pathways and gaining hands-on experience through organizations and contests. This spring, more than 30 students qualified for state-level competitions while learning about their possible future careers.

With her selection to this summer's Aim High Flight Academy, hosted by the Air Force Recruiting Service, Amy Schoenenberger will be one step closer to achieving her dream of becoming a pilot and ultimately an astronaut for NASA.
